Are you more like your mom or your dad?

Do you ever catch yourself sometimes and get reminded of your mother? Or maybe your father? My goodness, I do!! I remember my mom used to talk to herself while she was driving and I would catch her as I sat in the back seat and call her out (my whole life) I used to say "mamma, are you talking to yourself again?" And she would realize what she was doing, giggle and say how she was thinking out loud. Well, I have caught myself many of times doing this as an adult! I usually laugh to myself as I become conscious of what I'm doing and always think of my mom in those moments. But then I think back to when I was really little and I would play all by myself how my imagination allowed me to have full blown 2 sometimes 3 person conversations between my barbies or dolls or stuffed animals! It's so interesting to think of how all these things in my past totally play a part in the way I am and act today.
A few things I notice that I absolutely get from my mother are, I love to cuddle, I am understanding of others, I am assertive, borderline aggressive and pretty brave....I say this very proudly because I believe that these qualities have helped me get what I want in life. My mother knows what she wants, and she usually gets her way somehow or another lol. I sometimes catch my mother in the way I eat, laugh and when I'm stubborn...it's as if I feel like her...I mean, I am partly her.
And then there's my dad. My dad can talk to ANYONE and he enjoys it! That's how I am too...we feed off of other people's energy. He can read a room pretty well and make just about anyone open up to him. That's definitely a gift. I definitely get the social butterfly from my dad. He is also very patient. Or at least he has always shown me patience throughout my upbringing.
BOTH of my parents have an endless pool of forgiveness and kindness towards others. They are loyal to the important people in their lives and they may or may not know it but they have led by example in those regards because I myself have acquired these values too.
All this came about today as I stood in the kitchen, eating by myself, thinking out loud, and laughing at myself remembering of how my mother used to do "that". LOL
